Editable SVG for Figma, traced from your images

Vectorize a PNG, JPG or WebP in Adaver, tidy it in Studio, then bring the SVG into Figma, where it arrives as editable vector layers. This suits the icons, logos and flat illustrations UI designers work with. Adaver for Figma, a plugin, is being built but is not public yet.

PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, BMP or GIF; large images take longer. Uploads are deleted after 24 hours.

Plant monster, a PNG game sprite, traced by Adaver into an SVG with 5 colors. Few colors mean fewer fills to change in Figma.

How to get an SVG into Figma

  1. Add your image

Choose, drop or paste a PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, BMP or GIF. If you are signed out, the image waits in your browser until you log in or create an account.

  2. Tidy it in Studio

Merge similar colors, recolor shapes and delete the ones you don't need, with undo for every edit. Slide the divider across the image to check the vector against your original.

  3. Drag the SVG into Figma

Download the SVG with Pro, then drag the file onto your Figma canvas or bring it in with Figma's import. Each traced shape becomes its own layer.

Tips for icons and UI assets

Keep the color count low. Merging near-identical shades leaves an icon with only the fills you meant, so there are fewer colors to swap for your own styles in Figma.

If the image sits on a solid background, delete it in Studio before you download, so only the icon lands on your frame.

Adaver for Figma

We are building Adaver for Figma, a plugin meant to turn a selection in your Figma file into a vector drawing with your Adaver account.

It is not public yet: there is no Figma Community listing and no release date. To hear when it is out, send us a message from the contact page. Until then, the steps above work with any Figma file.

Questions

Is Adaver free to use with Figma?

Tracing and editing are free with an account, within fair use. Downloading the SVG for Figma needs Pro, a monthly plan, and each new version uses 1 credit; the pricing page shows the price. Without Pro, Studio shows a protected preview and you don't get the file.

What does Figma do with the SVG?

It turns the file into editable vector layers. You can change their fills, edit their points and scale them to any size without losing sharpness, as with shapes you draw in Figma itself.

Can I trace a photo for Figma?

You can, but a photo or a soft gradient becomes thousands of flat shapes, and Figma would import every one as a layer. Adaver suits logos, icons, flat illustrations and game sprites.

What happens to my images?

Adaver deletes the original, its versions and its exports after 24 hours, and you can remove them sooner in Studio. Your uploads are never used to train models.
